Recently I was selected by Rosie & James to photograph and video their wedding at the Larkfield Manor-one of my very favorite venues. Since the renovation a while back, it is now stunning. The grounds abound with lovely places to photograph, both indoors and out, and even at night!
The couple opted for two photographer coverage, so while I started at Rosie’s home to photograph her and her bridesmaids getting ready, my assistant started at James’ home to capture him with his groomsmen.
That’s one of the many advantages to having two photographer coverage:Together, we can capture EVERYTHING, both houses, different angles at the church, during the photo session afterwards, and of course the reception
For example, at the church while I was shooting Rosie walking down the aisle escorted by her parents, my assistant was able to capture the three of them from BEHIND, showing the faces of all their church guests, straining to see her!
I always pay particular attention to the children at a wedding. Sometimes they steal the show, with cuteness overload! Rosie had her nephew Mali carry the sign you see here down the aisle in church, and the guests loved it!
One important thing to remember about Celestial Wedding Photography is the we NEVER charge for special effects. Others do, and a lot! Here I thought the 1890s-looking Sepia toned treatment was perfect for this shot of the church architecture. This may be silly, but rather than remove the telephone pole (and wires) I chose to leave it in. It looked like a giant cross!
At a wedding, details are so important. For instance, I noticed the chairs at the couples’ Love Table, and thought it was charming. So did they! Here it is, along with a very few selected detail shots. There were dozens more!
