It seems to me that couples sometimes hire a wedding photographer simply because they’re getting married, and you’re supposed to have a photographer there!
The problem with that is the lack of communication can produce results that may not be in accordance with the couples taste. I have had couples who were so traditional that they actually brought me in a parents wedding album, shot in 1976, and said “This is what I want my album to look like”.
Others have said “I don’t want ANY posed photos; just capture the important people being themselves”.
Both are GREAT! And both those couples got exactly what they liked. I strongly encourage you to tell us your tastes, and this is best done a few weeks before the wedding, where we can show you different styles of photography and you can see what strikes your fancy.
